Monsanto – A Sustainable Agriculture Company. Yeah right!Reader submitted

Sam Judd wrote a great article for the NZ Herald website this week titled 'Sued for growing food'. The article focuses on food patents owned by Monsanto and Syngenta on everyday vegetables including lettuce, cucumber and onions. I'm in complete agreement with Sam and was amazed to read more about Monsanto's despicable and twisted agenda.

It makes me even more thankful we have an amazing organisation like  www.koanga.org.nz who's focus is on saving seeds and nurturing genetic diversity.

Check out the full article on the NZ Herald website.

PS. I love the tag line on Monsanto's global website. 'Monsanto - A Sustainable Agriculture Company'. Seems a little ironic!

I was at a dinner party the other night and Monsanto was a topic of conversation. Everyone had an opinion and they were all in agreement that this is ridiculous – pure corporate greed. Seriously? Patenting veges?!
